Fans are tricky to review, just as they are to pick out. Sure, you can get that high end Vantec fan and almost be able to make your computer fly away, but you also are a few dBs away from screaming in annoyance. Or, you can nab a nice, quiet fan that you can run on max and still be near inaudiable, but on the other hand, a moth has more turbulance compared to your fans. It's either or, most of the time.

Fortunatly, there are companies like Nexus, SilenX, Yate Loon, and many more that are trying to break the stereotype that silent fans suck. (Expect many more unintenional puns through-out the review.) We'll be looking at Nexus' attempt at doing just that with the D12SL-12.
